Looking for NOT FANCY 1-cup coffee maker using ground coffee!

I have what I think is the “Perfect Pod Maker” brand. I caught it on sale. I think I paid either 9.99 or 15.99. I bought it online on a site that was closing out their stock of the podmaker and the pod filters. The pod filters were like 150 of them for 4.95 and I bought 5 of them. Pretty sure I spent $30 or maybe 35 for everything

I have two Melitta one: one coffee makers. I have the original one. Then they made a “new” version. I have that one. But they are now back to making/selling the original version. They both make a great single cup of coffee. I love my pods. There must be 10 different brands of one cup pod coffee makers now.

HOWEVER, making pods is a little messy. I make a batch at at time of maybe 20-25. I keep them in either a ziplock bag or a plastic tumbler shaped container all stacked up. But in the process there are coffee grounds here and there. Sometimes a pod filter does not “seal” properly and it opens up in the ziplock bag or the plastic container. But I can mix up the type of pods easily. I buy nice coffee beans in small amounts to keep it fresh. And I HAVE FUN.

Abasket -

I get that. I have just never been attached to things and I don’t crave them. Of course, I married a wannabe hoarder so I have to run around tossing stuff out.

Hope you find your coffee pot.

I am a tea addict and occasional coffee drinker (like when I want to stay awake for 48 hrs. . .) I have a coffee maker for coffee drinking guests, but it’s too much trouble for one cup.
For one cup, I boil a mug of water in microwave. Put tablespoon of coffee (imitation donut store brand from Aldi–about $2.50/bag) in center of basket filter, ($1 for 200) gather up the edges, pinch it together with a clothespin, and dip it in the water like a tea bag. I’ve seen the coffee bags, but way too expensive.

FINALLY made my coffee pot purchase!!!

Still waiting for it to arrive, but this pot - different in design - seems to have quite good reviews so I’m anxious to try it out. Though it’s labeled a “5” cup maker, sounds like a more accurate description would be “2 mugs” worth. Perfect.

Decided to go this route vs. the 1 cup pods - S started drinking coffee while at home this summer so I figured the costs of Pods would get costly.

(note: I ended up ordering the unit off of Kohl’s website - I was able to use my 30% off and another coupon which made it much more affordable and much easier to return locally if there are any issues)

Can’t wait to get my new toy! (simple pleasures…)

Looks cool, but its not a single cup, is it? The link says 5 cup. How much was it with all the Kohl’s deals?

Right - not a single cup - I decided that wasn’t the best choice but didn’t want a full size pot. I liked the coffee output size of this AND the actual physical size. Seems to be one of the only units that is shorter and therefore easier to place under cabinets. Smaller footprint!

Actually I realize I kind of misled on the price - the Amazon price was $69, Koh’s was $99. Once I applied my Kohls discounts I got it for $59 and free shipping.
