Sorry! I was actually traveling to UNT this weekend. SO…his gen ed’s thankfully have been what he says is “SUPER easy”…his music classes are a good level of challenging for him so he is relieved. I think it seems more gen ed’s than he is actually taking…the jazz programs have a few they sub for gen eds and a few are waived for guitar so I assume the same for percussion? He takes about 2 per semester. There are ZERO complaints about courses and that was a big concern for him. He even turned down offers at other schools with far less academics bc he loved it there so much. There are 35 guitar players in the jazz program so I assume the same for percussion but a good question to ask admissions. Is he drum set? They have an amazing drum professor that even my guitarist has clicked with. Sorry for the delay
