Looking for Schools for me, Computer Science Major.

I’m not really looking for a tech school. I’d like a good social scene, good academics, and a good computer science program that is on the east cost or or all the way to the midwest.

Preferences for setting and size, if any (other than the geographical ones you specified)?

Also, cost constraints and state of residency?

Does “all the way to the midwest” mean the west coast is not an option?

@merc81 Looking for city/suburban college.

@ucbalumnus No real cost constraints, New York

@PengsPhils I would rather not because of the cost of flights but I’m not totally ruling it out.

Cost of airline flights (assuming that you are not flying international first class) is relatively small compared to the difference in cost of college (e.g. compare New York University to Stony Brook University). If cost of airline flights is a concern, then you should talk to your parents about what your actual college cost constraints are, and consider that colleges with more expensive airline flights need to be held to a slightly lower cost limit.

What’s your EFC? Can your parents pay it?
