<p>I don’t think there are really any structured research programs for middle schoolers–it may be a bit early–just wait until high school for research programs, but otherwise, if you want to do stuff by yourself, by all means go ahead!</p>
<p>There are some camps that focus on science. Do a Google search for Johns Hopkins CTY, Joseph Baldwin Academy, and there are other programs as well.</p>
