Looking for some safe universities

Hey guys,

As the title tells, I am looking for 2-3 universities which will definately accept me.
My SAT Scores are : maths 680 CR 620 WR 620
TOEFL : 109
GPA ( Since i am from Germany I am not 100% sure about that ) : 3,3 maybe higher
Extracurricular Activities : Lots of sports ( nothing special ), Coach of a soccer team and dedicated to nutrition and therefore cooking.
I have worked a lot however ( above 1000 hours alltogether )
community service : besides usual stuff like class represantitive, I was a student of trust and attended in a financial group. Additionally I helped some students who struggled with maths.
Some minor awards, like an award for a scientific essay or a highscore in a math competition.
Took some additional courses, but they differ greatly from what you know.

Yeah thats basically it, I think I could write a strong essay. What do you think ? Are some Universities popping up in your mind ?
Location does not matter for now, just collecting some ideas :stuck_out_tongue:
By the way I want to major in Economics or Business probably.

BTW sorry for posting this in the wrong section.

Thanks

Do you need financial aid of any type? American universities can be expensive by european standards, and you really aren’t competitive for top schools that offer free rides.

No I do not need any financial aid.

Lesley, Northeastern (maybe), Ithaca, Skidmore, Bryant…just to throw out some names. I know you said location doesn’t matter (these are all east coast schools, since that’s where I focus), but are you looking for city schools or more campus-y schools?

I am looking for school with a campus life, if its that what you mean by campus-y. I once visited a friend in london and was enlightened by the campus life he had there.

By campus-y, I mean that your school has a somewhat closed-off campus that is separate from the surrounding city or town (i.e. Notre Dame), as opposed to a campus where the college building may be interspersed with the city or town itself (i.e. New York University).

I rather prefer campuy-y schools then , however this argument is certainly not a heavy weighted one.

Focus in Boston. If you’re from Germany and you liked London you’ll likely enjoy the colleges in Boston. Suffolk is a good one.

Suffolk is a good one for your stats, but it is definitely IN the city, rather than having a more closed off campus. I know you’re looking for safeties, but Northeastern you might like (though it’s definitely not a sure thing for you).
Quinnipiac, Siena, Susquehanna, and…UMass-Amherst is another one that isn’t a sure thing, but you have a good shot at. Good luck!

Okay thank you very much ! I checked them all. Maybe you can come up with some more ? Would be awesome =)

Sacred Heart University, High Point University, Endicott College, Gettysburg College, SUNY New Paltz, Lycoming College, Saint Peter’s College, and Monmouth University could all be safeties for you as well.
