Looking for Word for extended land path onto a lake

I was wondering if any of you masters of language out there could help me find a word for a type of land mass I am trying to reference in a short answer of an application supplement. At the lake I jog to on the weekends there is a stretch of land that extends onto the lake for 6 or so meters. It’s a little less narrow than a dock, but for the most part similar in length and width to a boat dock. I am not sure if this stretch of land is natural or man-made, but I am mentioning how I like to stand at the very end of it after a run to appreciate the beauty of the lake and the breeze its currents bring.

Is there a specific word for this type of feature? Would the word ‘peninsula’ work even for a small length of land?

Peninsula would work fine, as would a “land inlet” or “finger of land.”

^ thanks for the confirmation and the two suggestions :-)
