For the most part I have taken the most rigorous schedule possible. I’m probably val or sal of my class of 150 students or so. My gpa is close to a 4.0 unweighted, but my school doesn’t give them to us on a 4.0 scale. So with a 4.0 counting as an A+ my gpa is probably a 3.85 or so. I got a 2050 on the SAT I and a 34 on the ACT plus writing.

I’m looking to narrow down my list to about half this number, so six or seven. Any recommendations would be great.

I’m not sure if you’re looking this way but University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA has the best pharmacy school on the west coast for sure. I would definitely spend the time to check it out. It’s not the easiest place to get into but if it’s a possibility.

Oh wow, I definitely meant to put a reach for Brown. Sorry everyone and thanks for pointing that out. I don’t think Brown and me are a match at all.

Thanks for the advice RonRaul. I plan on doing that unless I retake the SATs and do much better.

Thanks for the idea Briana, but I’m looking to stay in the New England, NY, PA region.

I know you said Pittsburgh is too far from home but with your ACT+GPA I think you’d have a shot at a guaranteed pharmacy program which is definitely worth considering. Pitt also has a very easy application process so if you’re not strapped for application fees, it might be worth having that option.

IBclass06, you bring up a good point.
I do NOT want to study pharmacy or become a pharmacist.
I want to become a pharmacologist who would work in a lab researching and developing pharmaceuticals, as opposed to distributing them to the public.

URI is famous for its pharmacy program which apparently is not what the OP is looking for (not to mention that URI is a not so great place to go to school IMO)
