Looking to transfer from Quinnipiac University to Fordham University Rosehill

I am a sophomore attending Quinnipiac University. I really want to transfer out of QU and into Fordham University for my Spring 2015 semester.

I currently have a 3.1 GPA in college. I’m hoping that with my classes in the fall it will bring up my GPA. I’ve never been in remedial classes. But my GPA is only a 3.1 because I took a political science class and received a C- which lowered my GPA. but at the fall 2014 I’m hoping to get at least a 3.2 or even a 3.3 which isn’t that high but its better than what I have.
I’m planning on switching majors from Criminal Justice to Political Science.

I had a 85 GPA in high school and my SATS weren’t that great, around 1080 out of 1200. I don’t know if they will look at my high school grades.

Do i have a chance of getting accepted?

Please let me know how I can better my chances. I’m filling out my common application now so I can send it in for the Spring 2015 semester.

Thanks!

We know QU and can appreciate your wanting to transfer.

Do you mean that your SATs were around 1080 out of 1600 (not out of 1200)?

According to Fordham’s website, a 1080 is not within their lowest 25% accepted, but there’s always a chance:
25%/75%
SAT Critical Reading: 570 / 670
SAT Math: 590 / 680

Maybe look into other options to transfer?

I have no answers to offer you as I am only a senior in high school. Perhaps you would be kind enough to elaborate why you want to transfer from QU to Fordham. I have been accepted to both schools and although Fordham is my first choice, QU has offered me some good scholarship money while I’m still waiting to hear from Fordham. Any information would be appreciated and good luck.
