looking to transfer from UCM to Loyola Marymount. Help Please!!!

I’m a sophomore at UCM. Econ major/Soc minor. I want to transfer for Spring 2013 by which I should have around 70-80 semester units completed. Currently have a 3.5 GPA. Active in a couple on campus clubs. Part time work experience for years. Recently interned at the Merced County DA’s Office for a couple months. Do I have any chance? Or what else can i do to help my chances?

Just have a strong essay! Like really strong! You’re above the average gpa.

Just maintain that grade point average at/above your 3.5 and you’ll be competitive for admission!

I was just accepted last week as a transfer :)

Really?? Even though I’ll technically be a junior by that point? And congrats! Also if you don’t mind me asking your stats. Thanks!

Yeah, in the fall I’ll be a junior. And my cumulative is a 3.45, no EC’s, a few professional-like work experience and internships. My essay was really strong also, if I say so myself.

Where are you transfering from?
