Looking Way Ahead

I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge about law school admissions and financial aid. I need to start my search for information somewhere, and this seems like a place that will set me in the right direction. I will be beginning my undergraduate education next year, and I am looking ahead to graduate school just to help me make a decision about my next step. Right now I am fairly certain that I will go to law school after I graduate from college. I have been offered a full ride scholarship to Duke as part of the Robertson Scholars program, but I am also considering Yale or Princeton with strong financial aid for my college options next year. What I would like to find out is the following:

1.) Will the strength of my law school application be substantially better with one of my college options than the other two? Would being a Robertson Scholar be more compelling than being a regular undergrad at Yale or Princeton?

2.) Financially, is paying for law school even possible if you have some debt from undergraduate study? Tuition is even more insane than for private undergrad schools. This is a big concern for me, as I could go to college for free at Duke or have to pay at Yale or Princeton.

Could you please offer some general advice that might help me make a decision in my current situation? I really appreciate any help you might be able to offer, and I apologize once again for my lack of knowledge on this topic.

1.) Neither the scholarship nor the name-branding is going to matter very much.
2.) Possible? Absolutely.

I don’t see how it’s possible unless you take out loans aplenty…

Well. Yes. But you asked whether it was possible, and it is.

You are very concise.
