I got a letter of recommendation from a professor who recently passed away. He went to University of Chicago and was quite esteemed. Does that mean that I can’t use a strong LOR because he passed away? I’m trying to gather strong application stuff because I’m not sure what route I wanna go for grad school.

Bump. 10car

You mean he wrote it for you already? Then sure, you can use it.

I already submitted a copy of it for a scholarship. It was a general LOR about my performance. Should I use it in subsequent matters as well?
