ask my boss at an internship I did last summer. Would getting a rec from an employer be looking down upon?
I did mostly web programming in my internsip, but I am planning to
study sort of EE/CS subject like embedded systems or architecture.</p>
<p>LOR from employees are only useful if you have done some important work (for eg, research in industry), which is published or presented in a conference. Otherwise, it doesn’t carry much weight. You should get recommendations from people who can comment on your abilities on research and graduate work. Just my two cents.</p>
<p>is this true even if i am only applying for MS programs, many of which arent even researched based?</p>
