<p>How many people receive the longhorn opportunity scholarship?</p>

<p>Participation in the Longhorn Scholars Program is by invitation. </p>

<p>This program is community-based rather than individually-based. Accordingly, a fixed number of scholarships are set aside for each LOS high school and awarded to its most deserving students. </p>

<p>There are 68 LOS Participating Texas High Schools<br>
Since 1999 more than 1100 students received LOS and PAS. It’s about 90 students per year.</p>

<p>We do not belong to LOS participating schools and even LOS participating districts but I got curious. </p>

<p>Well I go to skyline so that means one more scholarship for someone else</p>

<p>I read that it’s 2 per school. I don’t remember where, but I did lol. Anyway, my school is Aldine High School. I wonder who else will get it from my school. Hmm. Now I need to figure out whether or not I’m going to get more scholarships from UT and financial aid as well. UT is my dream school.

<p>UT is my dream school too, but my back up is Texas A&M…maroon is an ugly color</p>

<p>Are you me??? A&M is also my back up and I’ve never been too fond of maroon. It’s too ugly of a color if you ask me. Anyway, it’s also a formidable backup due to its handsome financial aid packages.</p>
