Lost and Confused ISF Major

So, I’m an intended ISF major about to finish my second semester at Cal, and I’m feeling somewhat lost. I decided on ISF as a major with only a very broad idea of what I want to study (some combination of art, education, media, film, soc/psych - so very humanities based). I’m considering either a double major in film, or a minor in art, depending on where I direct my focus for ISF (it wouldn’t make much sense to minor in art if I incorporated art into my studies for ISF, for example). I’ve talked to advisors and they say I’m doing just fine where I’m at, but I’m struggling to pick classes for next semester. I feel like I have no real path, and would appreciate some advice from current ISF majors in a similar discipline. Which classes did you take each year? How did you develop a more direct focus for your thesis? Even ideas on which direction to take my major in, considering my interests, would be extremely appreciated. The advisors have basically said to just explore classes and take pre-reqs for planned upper-divs, which I’ve done, but I’m afraid of accumulating too many useless classes and then not being able to graduate on time.

Just for reference, so far I’ve taken:
first semester of fresh. year: ESPM 50AC (breadth), IAS 45 (breadth), Phil 2 (breadth), Math 16A (failed this one)
second semester of fresh. year: ISF 100A (major requirement for isf), Art 8 (requirement for art major or minor), Film 50, EPS 3 (breadth), L&S 5
will be taking this summer: Art 12 (for art major or minor), History of Art N182 (for art minor), ISF 100C (isf major requirement)

I’d love to focus on another issue through an art lens, but lack specific research ideas. Has anyone else in the past used art as one of their ISF disciplines?

Am I worrying too much? I just feel like ISF is for people who really know what they want to do, people who have a clear topic of research and know what to take to get to where they want to be, and there isn’t that much information out there about the paths past ISF majors have taken.

Thanks for any input, guys.
