Louisiana State Class of 2030 Official Thread

When my daughter was accepted there in very late September we had the same question since she had applied for Business. The recruiter happened to be at a college we were at the next day and he said that when you are accepted this early it’s to the requested major. Shortly after that she received something from the business school so I’m betting you got in for pre-nursing! Congrats!!

Still waiting

Daughter just received her Acceptance tonight! :tada:

OOS Political Science

GPA 3.54UW/3.69W with 6 AP/H, 1420 SAT. 8 DE cc courses, 4.0 GPA (credit/grades awarded directly by cc - high school does not include in GPA or on transcript).

Hoping she gets some merit $$ come December! But happy LSU wants her!

OOS (Mass) Daughter got accepted yesterday. Applied 10/14. Currently have a junior at the school and could not be happier with his experience. I am sure my daughter will have many other options, but I am hoping LSU is her final choice.

What time?

Has anyone who has been admitted hears anything about scholarship offers yet? We are from OOS and have heard that LSU doesn’t give much in the way of merit but just curious if anyone has seen anything yet. Best wishes to all!

We haven’t received anything yet but if I remember form searching through last year’s thread, I think December? And fairly generous OOS?

Thanks for the info. If this is accurate, it seems pretty generous for OOS: Net Price Calculator

Still waiting for decision and applied in August. Is this normal?

Certainly no expert but looking at last year’s thread for acceptances, it seems like there were many that came Dec-Jan. Good luck.

If you look at last year’s thread, it doesn’t seem unusual for LSU to take much longer than the other SEC schools. My son applied to LSU and Ole Miss two weeks ago, Ole Miss acceptance came back three days later, LSU crickets so far.

Great to know! Thanks so much.

Yes, I definitely think LSU may not have a lot of rhyme or reason on when OOS kids are hearing back. My twins applied in August and one was accepted Sept 30 and the other 2 weeks later. We have several friends with a higher GPA than ours that applied in August and still haven’t heard back. Just as a point of reference, our stats were … SAT 1370, GPA 4.0 and SAT 1300 and GPA 3.98. Best wishes to all!

You were right! Just received emails today with scholarship info … they were more generous than the other SEC schools we have heard back from!
