Agree with that. I’m not sure how they effectively process 50,000 through a rolling process. The other SEC schools admissions are much more organized. Time for LSU to step up.
I’d think bama gets just as many applications and they use rolling. Just to use my kid as an example we heard from admissions of an acceptance ten days after application was complete. We withdrew from lsu bc he is attending a different (not sec) school but just recently. So after basically six months no decision had been made. I can’t believe lsu and bama have terribly differently admissions standards. So I just tossed it up to lack of organization and or manpower to get thru the applications. Either way they def need to step up their game imo.
I completely agree.
Anybody know when they announce scholarships?
Applied in August and still no word.
I am wondering the same - we got a “financial aid” letter that has absolutely nothing listed - so out of state showing as $52k/year. It doesn’t even have the federal loan option listed.
I spoke with Financial Aid a week or so ago about this… They told me that it at will update once they release the financial aid letters… possibly in late March or early April.
Same here
Anybody got the invitation to apply to Ogden College scholarships. We got the email but when we try to sign in it says the account is locked. Deadline is March 15th
In the Fall 2024 admissions cycle my son received his acceptance in early December and received his merit award approx 1-2 weeks later. He applied mid/late October and was not a top 1% student (3.6 gpa / 27-28 ACT).
Does anyone know if the portal changes right before a decision is posted - i.e. goes blank, etc?
Can you still get merit if you applied after December?
Question for those who were accepted last year. My DS is Planning to submit through common app soon for the class of 2030. Did your kids submit the apps with the essay?
