Louisiana State University Class of 2029 Official Thread

Not from application right? Just like two weeks from now?

Also how did your daughter like it? Any concerns?

2 weeks from now and she loved it! She was more excited about the food options lol. We currently live in Hawaii but I am from New Orleans.

My son received notification last night (10/10/24) that he was accepted at LSU for fall 2025. Good luck to all!

I read through last year’s thread and it seems like if they applied to Honors College it delays things. My son did so I am thinking despite having applied in August, that we are going to be waiting awhile.

I believe around mid September.

Just wanted to write on here that I am still stressed waiting to hear anything back from LSU. I know you guys are too!!

Its hard once you hear that someone has heard and you are still waiting. Do we know what time of day they usually tell students?

My son applied to LSU before September and it took a million years as with everyone else to even get the portal link. Since that time he got admitted to Alabama, Ole Miss and ASU. He would be thrilled to get into LSU as well but I can’t figure out the delay at this point. Bama took basically ten days to admit him, Ole Miss barely a week. Are LSU’s criteria that much more stringent? Crickets over here. lol

I am wondering the same thing. Daughter has been accepted to Mizzou and Auburn so far. Auburn had a firm date. Application in by 9-15…hear by 10-15. Mizzou is rolling just like LSU but it took less than 10 days to hear from them. I know LSU was over capacity for dorms this year. Do you think maybe they are being even more selective this year?

Do you know if you are admitted if they can secure their dorm spot once they accept?

Housing application opens up on Dec 2, 10:00am central.

We were there for LSU Kick-off this week and asked about timeline. We were told they are working through applications, but had received over 11K at that point, so might just be the volume of applications too. We did not get a timeline, other than each application is reviewed by 2 individuals before a decision is made.

lol son just got acceptance to Michigan state today and that’s not even rolling. I’m sure with lsu it’s that they are just slower in general or something. But either way - we just wanna know already!

11,000? Wow. My daughter got accepted to Oregon State and LA Tech within 2 weeks and now I am sitting here having dreams about admissions emails from LSU.

My son was just accepted to LSU. We applied in August. Like the rest of you we waited on the portal. Very exciting. Geaux Tigers!
