Did he apply for this spring?
Apologies. I did not realize that autocorrect on my phone had changed August to March. Corrected. He applied in August.
I applied to LSU on 9/18 and just got my acceptance back today (10/18). I applied to the Honors College (10/3) as well but they didnât tell me if I was accepted into that yet. Nothing about merit was mentioned yet. Pretty sure scholarships and Honors acceptance come out December/January.
Congratulations!
Did they send an email or you just checked the portal?
Congrats!! My daughter applied 9/25 so hopefully we hear back soon! And curious to how you were notified.
He received an email saying there was an update to his portal.
Good morning everyone. New Week same stress!!
Iâm assuming (perhaps incorrectly?) that admissions criteria for LSU are not a whole lot different from those of Alabama et al. So if thatâs true, is it just that their admissions office is slower? Bama literally accepted my (somewhat unexceptional, stats-wise) OOS child literally barely over a week after submitting application and all supporting admissions materials. I know all schools are different in the way they process this stuff but itâs still a little odd to me.
Yâall, can you login and see if you see the 2024-2025 right above âfreshmanâ. My daughter applied through the common app, but I think it incorrectly loaded for the wrong enrollment year? Wondering if this is just an error that they just didnt update their portal this year or if we should be concerned, since it doesnât show 2025-2026..
Our shows the same and I asked our admissions rep about it a few weeks ago. We were told that it was fine, and showing 2025-2026 applicant in their system. No answer as to why it says 2024-2025 on the application portal, but assuming it is all good.
Perfect! Thank you for looking into it!
So has anyone else here heard anything recently? Radio silence. Applied before Sept 1. Received portal info beginning of October. Again, stats are not amazing but were good enough for super quick decisions from Alabama, ole Miss and a few other comparable schools. Canât figure out why theyâre so much slower esp since with rolling I thought generally the sooner you apply the sooner you hear back
Radio silence over here as well
Itâs so annoying
My son applied last year and I remember LSU had several kids waiting into December/January even though they applied very early (September/early Oct). All got in. Just wanted to pass that observation from last year.
I wonder why theyâre significantly slower than comparable sec rolling admissions schools
Same! I wonder if its a staffing issue at this point. Not very rolling admissions-like. My daughter has heard from Bama, Ole Miss and UK and even received those packets and a scholarship in the snail mail and still absolutely nothing from LSU. I just dont get it..
My son just received an email. Accepted to LSU. Applied Common App 8/15, received acceptance 10/30.
Just now like tonight? Thatâs interesting
