Love Bacon? Love Cocktails? Help Me Out!

Yea, I’m almost embarrassed to say that we’ve made the Bacon Explosion. Very intense! And very good. It doesn’t take much to fill you up.

I was looking in the thinkgeek catalog today and saw tons of bacon stuff. Not sure why.

[ThinkGeek :: Find Stuff](http://www.thinkgeek.com/brain/whereisit.cgi?t=bacon)

ThinkGeek - they have the bacon salt, also Baconnaise, and caffeinated bacon lollipops.
Also tactical bacon, bacon mints …

I bet something already exists, but bacon in a bloody mary might be a pretty tasty cocktail…

rumaki (the Luau of Beverly Hills): waterchestnuts, chicken liver, bacon, soy sauce.

take one waterchestnut with a piece of chicken liver. wrap bacon around each one water chestnut and the liver (generally 1/2 per appitizer). secure with a toothpick. deep fry until bacon is cooked. serve with soy sauce (as a dip)…probably teriyaki sauce would work…

oh the fat…oh the cholesterol…and oh, the memories.

Jealous. :)

I don’t have a smoker… I wonder if you can just cook it in the oven at a low temperature.

Not only do we have a smoker, but we have the cadillac of smokers, The Big Green Egg. Basically foolproof and everything turns out fantastic.

Many of our friends put a strip of crispy bacon in bloody marys. Doesn’t work for me, but I love my bacon straight.

My son’s motto is “anything that’s good to eat is better with bacon–and excellent with pancetta.”

Thanks so much for the Thinkgeek suggestion! I’ve never heard of this site so I visited it, and it has PERFECT gifts for my geeky D! You guys have made my Christmas shopping for her that much easier!

Love, love, love Thinkgeek! I don’t know what we would do without it.

There is an awesome beer with juice added to it. Even my H. who hates beer, loves this one. Well, it is expensive - about $10 / bootle that looks like champaign bottle. I discovered that adding pomegranate (or most likely any) juice to your favorite beer (mine is Bud Light) works just as well. I do not know if it qualifies for cocktail, but I am not fan of mixed drinks at all, so I definitely would prefer my Bud Light with Pomegranate juice. I absolutely hate bacon, have to pick it out if it is added to salad or other dish, so no help here.

English bacon is better than what we have over here.

Just cause I know you’re dying to know…:)

Bought the bacon vodka and it was a MAJOR hit!!! He was totally surprised and had heard of it, but never tried it. I was able to go to the product website and print off loads of cocktail recipes to get him started…

Glad your gift was a success!
