There are not enough washers and dryers in our apartment (which costs us more than $2100 per month!) Quite frequently, some of the washer or dryer are broken and it takes them a long time to have them fixed (the office manager claimed that they need to wait for the parts!)
If we do more than 3 loads, it would take us almost a full day if we are not lucky. We need to go to the lawndry room well too many times before we could find a washer or dryer which is not in use. What is more aggravating is that many tenants would just leave their clothes in the washer or the dryer when it is done. Later, we notice that many tenants would just take out the already washed or dried clothes of others so they can use the washer or dryer. We do the same afterwards (but we put other tenant’s clothes in a plastic bag and hopefully they would not be upset about it – I think they have no ground of complaining about it.)
We miss those years when we lived in our own house in a lower COL state! My wife really hates this insanely expensive city. This city is for young people who makes big bucks and have few responsibilities. We saw mostly older people at a fastfood joint like McDonald’s and younger people at Chipotle – older people even could not afford eating at a place like Chipotle. And there seems to be more homeless people in this city than in the city where we lived previously.
(Isn’t it true that the average age of the employees at Facebook is between 28 and 29, and only 1 or 2 years older for employees at Google?!)
