Do you guys know that the movie Love Story(1970) filmed at Cornell? I wonder if the whole movie was filmed at Cornell or only the “Snow Frolic” scene was filmed there. All I know is that the “Snow Frolic” scene was filmed right in front of Clara Dickson Hall. Does anyone knows any further behind stories?

That’s not what it says here:

Well, this location list is not complete. I saw the film a looooong time ago, but I know that at least one scene was shot there, when the father meets the son in Ithaca after a Harvard-Cornell hockey game.

SorGirl and adele,
Actually, outside the “Cornell rink” was at Fordham. I suspect it had to do with the expense of getting to Ithaca instead of NYC.
The “Snow Frolic” scene was shot in Harvard’s football stadium…which makes sense since the story is set at Harvard/Radcliffe.

I bought the DVD after hearing about it so often as part of Cornell hockey lore. :)

It was filmed at Harvard. I was there when it was filmed, and some of my friends were extras.
