Love the Online Application form

I just want to throw in my opinion of the MIT online application form. It is the only one that actually works for my son. He has been accelerated in math and took Algebra II in 7th grade and Geometry in 8th, and even though MIT’s form wouldn’t let us put those years, it did let us put the course and explain below without entering a grade level. First online form we have been able to use for this reason. I love how you can actually print out how it would look on the form too.

:) I agree, crazy mom. I thought the application allowed me to show my strengths really well. It gave me enough room for the things I needed room for, and it let me explain about my coursework and just was overall very clear. I wish others were like that. The application website that Columbia, Brown, and Penn use is absolutely HORRIBLE. :-/

Yes, MIT is the only school that I even used the online app for because it was so nice.

agreed. the MIT online app has spoiled me.

agreed. 10char

oh shoot, was it necessary to explain middle school coursework if we took like, calculus in freshman year?

I assumed they wanted to know you had taken advanced algebra, but maybe they don’t care. My son had calculus sophomore year, and AP now. They gave him high school credit in middle school so it appears on his transcript.
