We went to the Love Sac store today. I was unimpressed with the help. On one hand she was not overly pushy, but on the other, she was not very knowledgeable. Basically suggested we play around with the wooden sets they had available there (someone linked them above).
She provided two quotes for me based on two configurations. One was in the $13k range (a 10’ x 12’ with one extra seat added to create a chaise) and one was in the $12k range (an 11 x 11 that had two wedges to create a curve and the extra piece for a chaise). I had to provide an email before she’d show me the quotes. And, she had to send two e-mails - one for each quote. Those prices are before the 40% discount. “When does that end?” She had to ask the boss. “Runs at least through tomorrow…” Then someone mentioned that they always seemed to be, “on sale,” and the boss kind of groused about how they kind of had to do that now given how the company marketed. Anywho, would be in the $7,600 - $7,800 all-in with tax after the discount. Seems like a lot for something we’d have to assemble ourselves, but my interior designer quoted $7k-$9k for something she would source.
We are supposed to close in the middle of July, so we have time to ponder it. I’m not really sure how often we’d reconfigure it. This would be going in an upstairs space, so anything we buy has to be modular. This we could get upstairs ourselves because of the assembly. Anything else we’d probably have to purchase locally to have it placed upstairs.
One big plus is their quick ship option is only 1-2 weeks, and there are many fabrics eligible for that.
DD and her husband researched this extensively before they decided they wanted a sactional. And it took them a while to put the money aside to purchase it. Theirs was about $8000. But after two years, the cushions are still nice and comfy and firm, and the covers have been washed a few times, and still look brand new.
Do you mind asking which cushion fill they went with? The two options are standard foam and love soft. Dh preferred the latter, but I’m reading that it requires more fluffing. And, I know who would be doing the fluffing
I can’t ask until tomorrow…they are both working. They have a dog who sits in the back cushions and looks out the window. I’m going to guess they got Standard, but I don’t know!
I know this question wasn’t for me, but we did a mix of firm and soft. My H wanted the firm with an ottoman so we put that on his usual seat and I wanted soft and reclining so I got that. The remaining seats are a mix. And I’m sorry you didn’t have the best salesperson. Ours was very helpful and spent over an hour with us while we talked it out.
We are looking for a sectional but won’t ever reconfigure it, so for us I am not sure it is worth paying for that option. I also don’t want chargers etc. I do, however, want comfy, well-built, and for it to last/wear well. So I am curious to hear people’s experiences!
My DD and husband do not have phone chargers on their sactional, and so far, they haven’t rearranged it. But after two years, they agree…it looks like new. But they are pricey. So…for your needs, shop around.
The first time we saw a couch with phone chargers, my husband’s reaction was, “What’s that? Electric chair?”
For folks who don’t need custom options and are fine with beige or light grey, look at the Costco options. If you hate the couch, Costco will take it back!
I have known several people with recliners as part of their sectionals. And every single one of those recliners failed in some way long before the rest of the couch wore out.
Favor - because we don’t have a Costco here, we don’t have a membership. One has to log in as a member to see the price of this. Would someone who does have a membership please report on the price of this?
