LoveSac furniture?

Another question for our new home. While we might be losing room space within bedrooms, we are gaining it in other places. Specifically, our upstairs will have a decent-sized hang out space. We envision this as our primary TV/sports watching area which will allow me to have the downstairs living room a bit, “nicer.”

Some sort of sectional sofa would be well-suited to this space. However, it needs to be pretty modular in nature with no super long segments in order to get it up the stairs.

I’m intrigued by the concept of the LoveSac, “sactionals,” with their washable covers and ability to reconfigure easily (allegedly).

Does any have one of these? Do you like it? Was it difficult to put together? Do the covers launder well?

Conversely, do you regret purchasing one?

Any and all sectional (of any kind) thoughts would be appreciated!

I know someone who recently purchased a big Love Sac unit(s) from Costco. They seem to love it but in their case had to unbox and put it together themselves - seemed like quite a feat - but they got it!

Yes, I think even if you buy directly from a storefront it must be self-assembled.

We do not have a Costco here.

We recently purchased a large sactional. We love the ability to customize the layout of the furniture and change and add to it if we want. It was a project to put it all together, but totally worth it in my opinion. Kind of like a really big Lego set. We haven’t had to wash the covers yet so I can’t comment on that. So far, we love it!

I’m following - because this is very intriguing to me. We desperately need a new couch and have been looking for something customizable and washable. I want to hear all about it too! And I hope it works for you.

You might see what Costco charges - you likely order online and they ship directly to you so you’d need a membership but wouldn’t need for it to be in your area (someone can correct me if I’m wrong) A Costco discount could be worth paying a one time $60 membership fee

The Costco sets are pre bundled units so not nearly as customizable as ordering directly from Lovesac. Lovesac often has sales on their product so you’re never really paying full retail price. We saved 35% buying directly from Lovesac and were able to fully customize everything. It’s all shipped to you no matter where you buy it.

I’m not sure if they are the same model as when they first came out years ago. It’s been more than 10 years, but when I tried out the LoveSac sectional, I found it to be very expensive and very uncomfortable. Do they have one out at Costco for you to test drive it?

OP, once you know what you really want, I’d check prices at Costco vs the LoveSac store. It sounds like at least sometimes/some places the LoveSac people are happy to help you figure out where ordering would be best, once you figure out what you want. I just googles and AI had some interesting info.

I’m sitting on my sactional right now! I absolutely love it.

Occasionally I will change up the configuration if the mood strikes me. If we have a big group coming over, I can remove one piece and slide it to the spare room temporarily to create more floor space. You can get them with storage space inside, so we have blankets and extra pillows in stuff stored in there. I recommend.

Would you (or any others who have one) mind posting some pics?

I highly recommend anyone considering Lovesac to visit a Lovesac showroom if possible. There are so many options: deep or shallow, firm or soft cushions, three different arm/back styles, lots of color and fabric options, reclining seat options, sound systems, tables, cup holders, wooden trays, etc. It’s very helpful to see it in person to get the full array of possibilities.

My DD and her husband have a sactional. They love it. They have two dogs so the washable covers are great. You can also get a second set of covers. These things are pretty expensive. They bought theirs from the LoveSac store near where they live. They have had it over two years, and really, it looks brand new.

My DD and SIL have one; they LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I’m not sure if it’s standard, but the armrest has a built in phone recharger. When overnight guests were visiting, they easily rearranged the end chaise sections to create a bed; sheets and blanket went into the storage cube during the day. They also have a second set of covers - the original beige was bought pre-kids

That’s our current configurations. There are special feet and clips that you use to secure the pieces where you want them. We’ve left the one piece loose so we can move it around easily. It’s a bit of a project to remove the feet and everything when you want to reconfigure, but nothing too crazy.

We have one of the cushions set up with a phone charger. You can also get a sounds system actually built into the couch, but we didn’t do that so I can’t speak to whether it’s worth it.

My kids have the same pieces but they have the square placed so it’s like a chaise at the end.

We have a LoveSac sectional, but before buying, we purchased a set of these miniature block sets to play with various configurations for our space. I would highly recommend buying it, if one is unsure of what they want their space to look like.

It’s a fine couch, but very expensive. But you get 1,000,000 options as noted above. I like the fact that you can change things around, when you desire a new look for your space.

While the installation instructions and installation was simple, they do require a lot of “elbow grease.”

I think this is an amazing idea! Very clever - hopefully helpful.

Costco -
Deleted, because I’m not sure if people could see my account information with the link, but Costco seems to have a special going on some LoveSac furniture.
