I have about an UW gpa of 3.2 and a W of about 3.5. My Sat score that I got was a 2150 & I also have EC. These include president of chess club (I Also founded), Varsity Volleyball ( 2 Years), a couple clubs and I have an official title of a pro chess player. Will these help me get into schools like UCLA, UCSD, STANDFORD
Very unlikely with your gpa. Sorry.
Official pro title chess player? What’s ur USCF…
“Standford” is definitely out of your reach, sorry.
As is UCLA. UCSD, I don’t know enough about to comment.
In-state applicants require a minimum 3.0 UCGPA to apply and OOS applicants need a 3.4 UCGPA. No chance for UCLA/UCSD.

Meet with your guidance counselor to form a list of target colleges – they have the best experience to guide you based on previous kids of similar stats. I agree with the above posters. The ones you’ve mentioned are not realistic for you at this point.
In addition, if you can boost your GPA with a few more As, it might be worth shifting some hours away from your clubs/ECs. That will have a real effect. Your list of clubs will not for the sorts of schools you’ll be targeting. Good luck
Are there grade optional schools?
You need to re-calibrate your list and expectations. Your GPA is the most significant factor, not the only one but the most important. You need schools that look for capable students who need support and guidance. Check out the book, Colleges That Change Lives and their list of colleges.
Set realistic expectations for your college list given your stats. If your HS has Naviance that is a good tool. For many schools GPA and course rigor are more important than SAT.
Those schools are not realistic. I do not think you would have good luck to any school with acceptance rates less than 30%, On the other hand if you prepare a good app and you demonstrate fit with a school or major you might have luck with schools in the high 30-40%. You should try to find schools even with higher acceptances rates so in the end you will have good choice.
