My GPA is about 3.3 (terrible I know) and I got a 1950 on the SAT. I’m applying to a lot of reach schools at my parent’s request (NYU, BU, BC, Fordham, Wesleyan) and I would like to know if anyone with my stats got into any of those schools. I would also like to know what colleges I have a chance of getting into.

It sounds as if your parents are just throwing out names they’ve heard of. Unless you play a helmet sport you’re going to have a hard time getting into Wesleyan with those stats. You could try not submitting your board scores (they are optional) but that puts all the more scrutiny on your gpa. You stand a better chance at BU. And I would add some more of the Boston area schools, like Northeastern, and Holy Cross.

Search the parents sub-forum for “3.0-3.3 GPA”. There are a few threads related to that.

Here is what my initial search pulled up

I wouldn’t try for Wesleyan or BC even as reaches unless you have an edge. Any strong connections, special talents, ect would make them more plausible but otherwise it’s not worth applying
