My gpa is 2.48 as of my sophomore year. I slacked off a lot when it came to academics both my freshman and sophomore year, I focused so much on socializing that it affected my academics greatly. I’m planning to take 6 AP’s throughout my entire junior and senior year, with all A’s in them along with my other classes. If I can raise my GPA to a 3.0 which I think is possible… concentrate greatly on my volunteering/extra curriculars, provide a 2020 SAT score, and write a flawless personal statement on my applications, do you think I stand a chance in applying to UCSB (University of California Santa Barbara), USC (University of Southern California), Penn State (Main Campus - University Park), or University of Miami (Florida)?

It’s possible if you can do all those things, but what makes you think you can suddenly go from a 2.48 to a 4.0 while also taking more difficult classes?

2.48 is really low, but try to get it as high as you can. Then, apply and see what happens. It also depends on whether your school is highly competitive. good luck
