I have a dilemma regarding my GPA and my standings overall. I study in Suffolk University in Boston, not the best school in terms of academics. I am an international student, majoring in PPE (Politics, Philosophy, and Economics), and also taking part in Honors program. My GPA is always fluctuating between 3.4 - 3.5, and I feel like I am doing really bad in comparison to others (all my Business major friends have a GPA of 3.6 and above). I am only a freshman, and planning on transferring next year, but the whole situation is just lingering over my head and I can’t get my mind off it.
I also feel like my major is way harder than others (not all, ofc).
Did anybody face similar issue? What did you do?

If you want a higher GPA, study more or study more efficiently. Go talk to your professors.
PPE + Honors IS WAY harder than Business at Suffolk. Also, a 3.5 is good.
Where would you transfer? Have you checked the NACAC list for colleges that still have space and housing for transfers?

I was thinking Northeastern, so I can keep my major, but I feel like I might switch to Business Economics in order to make not easier to look for a job.
Yes! I looked at the list, but there are not that many uni’s that offer PPE.

Hey! I’m a health science major, but I know people who are in the same predicament as you are at my school and I’ll give you some tips from my first two semesters. If you want a higher GPA, try changing your study tactics. Use rate my professors to see what people recommend for the professors you have in a given semester. I know for my human development psychology class, that site helped me determine what I needed to do in order to effectively study for that class. Most importantly, go see your professors. Don’t be just a face in the crowd. If you visit your professors for assistance, they’ll help you out in the end. For me, my chem professor bumped me up from a B+ to an A- because she knew that I always put in that extra effort to go and see her whenever I had trouble with something.
As for transferring, I’d say consult your advisor and look for schools in the area that have your major. Keep a diverse list, Northeastern is nice, but let’s say you don’t get your transfer approved. Come up with a plan B and maybe even a plan C for other schools and majors.

@anna1399 : it’s easy to create a “PPE” major: just major in Economics and minor in philosophy and political science. 
ALL colleges offer that. Catholic, especially jesuit, will offer that.
Search by checking “transfer: yes, freshmen: yes, housing:yes, financial aid:yes” (unless you don’t need financial aid in which case you choose the “non relevant” box.)

Willamette, Luther, Butler, LaSalle, Elizabethtown, UOregon, University of Vermont, Penn State Branch campus, Ball State, Bellarmine, Hamline, St Catherine’s (St Paul), UMW, ULouisville, Hendrix, Drake, Valparaiso…
All are good for your chosen subjects, so run the NPC and apply QUICKLY as spots are going quickly.
