Low GPA, respectable SAT bunch of extracurriculars, am i on track?

my GPA is around 2.4 D: and my SAT is 1860
i have taken AP classes and received a 5 in world history and a 4 in US history
i have volunteered for my school for 3 years, i play football 2 years, and next year i’m doing the close-up washington DC trip and yearbook
am i on track to go to a respectable school?
i am looking into large state schools

What state?

Also, what grade are you in?

i’m a soon to be senior in CA

“…a respectable school…i am looking into large state schools …”

That’s not so easy. Is that your UC GPA? My son is in a similar predicament. Higher GPA but no AP’s yet.

You could probably get in all the CSU’s except the Cal Poly’s, and maybe the ones with " more selective criteria". Have you checked out CSU’s?

not UC’s from here
but ASU
u of oregon
state schools like that

Not UC’s:CSU’s. I mean this.

<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;

[CSUMentor[/url]

<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU](<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>http://www.csumentor.edu/)

oh yeah
cal state’s don’t hold so much prestige here

You might want to come up with your OWN criteria.
