what up,
i applied to penn with a 3.83. This is on a upward trend (3.6, 3.9, 4.0). I received a 3.95 first term and sent that in (thus making it a 3.86 but i don’t know if this got in on time). I have a 35 on my ACT, 790, 770 SAT II tests. Will my 3.83 hurt me granted that it’s on a upward trend??? This question is directed towards penn and other ivy leagues/ivy caliber schools.
Thanks
Your stats, including the GPA, are fine. It would depend upon on rest of the application/profile. Even if you have 4.0 gpa, it would still depend on extracurricular profile and essays for those colleges. So I would not worry about 3.86.
Put it this way. Between you and a similar candidate who has consistently higher grades, they might be more inclined to go with the other student. But everyone has a low chance. There is nothing to do except wait.
