I do have 4 credits for English and Social Sciences, although I don’t know if it’s just my school counting one of my credits as Soc.
I unfortunately lost a lot of opportunity as a result of what happened Sophomore year, so I was unable to keep up the rigor. My counselor will be handling sharing this, but I’m not sure if I should continue to try to explain away the grades.
I apologize for the poor wording, I meant to say ED I vs II; which one would likely offer me better chances over the other?
Bates really stood out to me for their academic schedule, culture (I don’t really have a major focus on disaster relief, but rather community impact and development), and opportunities for student exploration. I also really like the location, and will be visiting next week. I also don’t anticipate getting any aid in the event I get in, however I am able to get full tuition in Maine as I plan to enlist and eventually commission in the military. That opportunity isn’t necessarily available everywhere else.
A lot of you agree I should not use my mental health struggles for my essay. Would incorporating some of the perseverance and personal growth while leaving out the mental health part be fine?
If anyone else has any other matches, I would love to know. If there are any questions on what my other schools are, I am happy to share. I am definitely trying to shoot my shot at a lot of these schools (many counselors have encouraged me to) because of my other stats and character. While very ambitious, I am trying to keep it fairly realistic (obviously no ivies or T20s) to the point of at least having some chance, even if its near-zero. But again, if any of you have any other matches, please let me know.
