Low GPA wondering if I can go to a good school

Hey everyone, I was wondering if I can get into some good Florida state schools. I am going to be a senior this year so I’m fairly sure my gpa is set in stone. My dream schools are UCF, FSU, and UF. Some other schools that I think I can make it in is FIU, FAU, and Embry Riddle. I will be fine with going to CC for 2 years.

UW GPA: 2.71
W GPA: 3.68
SAT: 1290 (650 in math, 640 in reading)

Have taken:
AP Human Geography
AP Enviornmental
APUSH
AP Pysch
AP Chem
AP Physics

Some EC’s:
Vice President of Engineering/ Robotics Club
Varsity Tennis player (Qualified for districts but didn’t make it very far)
350 Community Service Hours
Shadowed and mentored by my Uncle who owns his own engineering business (I want to major in mechanical engineering)

I am of Indian origin
Grew up living poor, I live with a single parent, my mother, who only has a high school education.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, since I will be the first person in my family to go to college. Thanks for helping!

You seem like a balance kid overall, however engineering school is highly selective, so you need to be different from all the other kids who apply. Additionally u need to write an outstanding essay. Try your best during your senior year and get that gpa up, it’s not enough to just take ap classes you need to pass the test and do well in the class. Best of luck!
