I graduated my bachelors degree with an evaluated 2.93 GPA in chemical engineering from Ghana. I intend pursuing a masters degree in project management and the two schools which I am considering, Boston and Northeastern Universities do not require GRE, thus I haven’t taken the exam.
I am pretty confident about my resume and wondering whether I should explain reasons for the low GPA in my personal statement

You definitely should explain the reasons behind your low GPA. Personally, in a different school and a different field, I have almost always rejected applicants with a sub-3.0 undergraduate GPAs, regardless of their GREs. The only exceptions were given to people under extraordinary circumstances.

Good luck.

Thank you!
I actually spoke to an admissions counselor from Boston University and he advised that I should write a cover letter explaining the circumstances of my low GPA and make reference to areas of academic and professional success
