low grades in high school doesn't mean failure.

my english teacher last year was a harvard graduate. he went there for Law school which, of course, is what harvard is mostly known for right? well we asked him about his grades and stuff and it turns out his high school gpa was a 2.7 … amazing eh? he got into a state college, lived like a monk for 3 years (yes three) and got into law school at harvard. college gpa i believe was a 3.84 but i can’t entirly remember. but yeah, right now he’s a high school english teacher that drives a 2005 corrvette and a range rover. you see he met his wife in harvard adn she’s a successful lawyer too so he became a teacher.

so the moral of the story is…just because you have terrible high school grades doesn’t mean you’re completly screwed.

Unfortunately, that track is even less likely today. Competition to get into any program has become harder, mostly because of a larger number of applicants (and its not like more harvards are created everyday). It is still possible though.
