<p>I’m the type of person that doesn’t really like competition. For that reason I want to go into a med program that is low key, I don’t mean not ranked or crappy, but just one that has a more comfortable environment. I know med school isn’t going to be a walk in the park, I understand it’s very difficult, but I don’t want to be constantly having to watch my grades and everyone else’s. I’d like to go into a combined program… or it doesn’t even have to be combined… but a good med school where the faculty and students have close relationships and the students help each other out. I read on another thread that UMKC fits this description, according to one person. I’d like some more opinions on low key, comfortable-environment schools. I’m not ruling out Ivies, just looking to see if there is a better option out there. If you want more information about what I’m looking for, just ask. I’m afraid I haven’t been very clear…</p>
