I need to bring a home made appetizer to a party this weekend. Most of my ideas involve salty things like cheese, bacon and so forth. Some of the partiers at this event, including the guest of honor’s wife, are on strict no salt diets.

Anyone have some recipe ideas for low salt appetizers?

My recent addiction is Hommus and Tabouleh served with raw veggies (especially onion wedges, cucumbers and red pepper) or with pita or naan. If you belong to Costco, you can buy everything there and have a fresh, simple appetizer. Stay away from crackers or fried chips to avoid it becoming salt-laden.
