Low SAT II ruins application?

I took two subject tests; one score I’m okay with, the other I am absolutely devastated with.
My other stats (SAT, GPA, extracurricular activities) are good. Regardless of that, if I send UC Berkeley both of my subject test scores and I apply undecided to Letters & Science, would that low SAT II score (regardless of what the subject was) ruin my application?
It’s a major outlier :frowning:
The subject shouldn’t matter since I’m applying undecided, right?

I’d really appreciate an answer from those who are familiar with the practices of UC Berkeley in particular, but also of UCs in general.
Thank you guys so much.

Edit: “undeclared” to Letters/Sciences, not “undecided”

Bump please ~~~

I believe you can use score choice when sending scores to Berkeley (I might be wrong though).

I wouldn’t send the subject test scores if they’re in the 200-699 range since they could harm your application. By how much depends on the test that you took.

Regardless of the major that you’re applying to, admissions will see the score if you send it. I don’t think they would “ruin” your application as long as the other parts of your application like your unweighted GPA and SAT I score are strong. Seeing as you’re undecided, I don’t think it’ll harm your application as much as if you, say, decided to send noticeably low math and physics subject test scores to the College of Engineering.

Good luck!

Thank you so much, @yinuos !
I was thinking the same thing (about not sending a score below 700)…
I appreciate your response, and good luck to you, too!
