Low SAT II Score?

Hi CC,

I'm a rising Junior (c/o 2013) and I plan on applying ED to Penn. This June, however, I screwed up on my World History SAT II and got a 690. I know that Penn doesn't "recognize" score choice and require that one's entire testing history be submitted. Would the 690 hurt my chances? I plan on taking Math II, Chemistry, and U.S. History next Spring and I do anticipate high scores.

No, colleges look at your best scores, typically the top 2. Don't worry about it.

Yeah, submit all your scores--the top 2 are considered, and a 3rd strong one doesn't hurt either. Don't worry at all about the 690 if you have some other strong ones.

Alrighty thank you guys so much I was worrying :)

LOL, a 690 on World History won't hurt you my friend. World Hist and Literature are known for their level of difficulty as SAT II's. US History should be easier (it's also the one I took), so try that out next year and maybe you can get a 750+ to make up for your 690. In any case, which sane high school student happens to know the second queen of Nubia anyway? Don't feel bad about your World Hist score.
