Low tests scores and average grades, possibilities of acceptance?Any recommendations?

Hello all,

I’m an American student interested in applying to college in Europe, Philippines and the U.S.
Let me know if you think I will have a chance at any of these schools and list some recommendations for some “easy-to-get-into” schools that are still respectable.

Ethnicity: Hispanic/Latino
SAT COMPOSITE: 1490
ACT COMPOSITE: 18
GPA: 3.0 UW
Curriculum/History: Studied the British A-levels in junior year at a swiss boarding school then will return to the American high school diploma in senior year. I basically have a few C’s on my transcript along with a few B’s and a couple A’s in art and weight lifting, I was an average student. I have two D’s this year and last year I repeated junior year, i left my previous school in the second semester so my first semester grades say C’s and one B. I have 160 community service hours and am building up more. I have college credit from NYU and George Mason University and won an award at the University of Oxford for a course in architecture. I have work experience in London at a prestigious architecture firm. I am a varsity swimmer for over 8 years and a 3-goal Equestrian Polo player. I have participated on the Debate Team, Key club (gold key award), Model U.N., Pre-Law Society. I aided a program at my school in building a hospital for children in Uganda and was president of the donors committee. I have taken all honors classes and will take 2 AP’s in senior year. Overall, I am worried about the two D’s on my junior year transcript. When my A-level grades come in if they are better I will just not show my transcript but thats just if my a-levels are good enough. I am thinking of applying to:

Does anyone know of any business schools that are credible and accept average students?

Didn’t you have college guidance at your school? You have many schools on your American list that are entirely unreasonable. You are an average student but those school only accept above average to exceptional students. The D’s will be dealbreakers, your gpa is too low and your test scores are not even in the lower range. You may have some good EC’s but they are not going to make up for the low stats. You have got to drop these pipe dreams and get some realistic schools on your list so that you have options.

You can look at test optional schools. See

I don’t know enough to recommend enough for you, but in Calif, you’d be looking at
