Spend a little time with Carrie Diamond and you’ll easily see why Princeton University has offered her a full academic scholarship.

Diamond’s simply an All-American girl. Intelligent, charismatic, driven, she’s a big reason the Falcons are in the PIAA state soccer playoffs. In fact, her goal against Red Land in the District 3 consolation semifinals – Lower Dauphin’s ticket to states – was the only goal of the game.

Diamond earned All-American honors in field hockey and will play that sport for Princeton, but there are plenty of NCAA soccer teams which would welcome her talents.

“I enjoyed my years playing soccer for Lower Dauphin,” she said. “I gave up playing club soccer, which I played since I was 10, a year ago to concentrate on field hockey. I’ll play only field hockey at Princeton because both sports are played in the fall.” . . . (continued)

Congratulations, Carrie, and welcome to Princeton!
