If I got three questions wrong (-4 points) on the SAT Reasoning Test Math section, what is the lowest possible score that I can get on Math, and what is that usually, and what is the highest I could get…

If I got three questions wrong (-4 points) on the SAT Reasoning Test Math section, what is the lowest possible score that I can get on Math, and what is that usually, and what is the highest I could get…

Thanks!

Expect a 720.

I’m take your question very seriously.

Therefore, if you only got three wrong, you could easily get a 200. Because if you didn’t answer any of the other questions, you’re in trouble.

If you answered the rest and got them all right, you could possibly get an 800 if it was a really hard curve.

Overall, I’d put you somewhere in the 200-800 realm.

Good luck, hope you did really greatly!

^ Annoying.

I’d say around a 720 as well. I got two wrong on the Oct SAT and I got a 750, but the curve was harsh.

I need a 730, what’s the chances of that?

there is a slight chance of that.
I would say in the 700-730 range depending on the curve.

On May 08, -4 was a 740!?

No, it wasn’t. -4 was 720.

in may 4 wrong was a 720 I have the conversion table in front of me. I am asking about three wrong which is minus four points not four wrong which is minus five points

Yeah, -4 points is a raw score of 50, which corresponds to 720. What are you talking about?

it is possible that you may get a 700. That would be the worst case scenario.
Can’t get any lower

Here is the conversion table:

A 50 Raw Score was a 740

That is NOT May 2008’s conversion table. That’s probably from another exam. But, man, this must’ve been a hard test to have a curve like this. Do not expect your test to have one this nice.

Someone gave me the May 2008 test, and this was with it (it was the conversion chart…) Whatever… According to the Blue Book, the range for a 50 is a 690-770, which should mean that it should be 730 occasionally, especially if the math was slightly harder then usual (I took the November Sunday Test, which I believe was harder then past exams…)

Whoah! Then there must’ve been multiple forms of the May 2008 test o_O

Could it have been the Sunday administration, perhaps? But anyway, that curve is SO unusual.

It might have been the Sunday administration… I’m not sure…

I know that the October 2008 Sunday Administration, -4 was a 720. I took that also, and found the November one to be much harder, so I think it might have a slightly better curve (I’m hoping 730…)

on oct 08 i got 4 wrong and a 700…my friend got 1 wrong and 3 omitted and got a 720…so i’m guessing you’d get a 720

A “typically easy” test would give you 710 for a raw score of 50 on math. A 50=700 curve is pretty harsh (and pretty unusual).

in october i got -3 720 D=

^ Really??

I got -3 and a 730 in Oct
