What is the lowest SAT and GPA score required for you to get in schools such as Cornell? I consider Harvard, MIT as super Ivys and then you have schools such as Cornell, Brown etc
I know they consider lot of different factors but just from the SAT and GPA score standpoint, what are the minimum score requirement?

When you look at the admission requirement, they tell you the score range for 50 percentile, 75 percentile, 25 percentile. That doesn’t tell you the lowest range.

How many more times must we say this!? There are more than just grades - applications are reviews holistically. If you have a low score, but stellar ECs, recs, and essays, you may stand a chance. If you have time, take some review courses. The SAT is a predictable test for which you can prepare. I have seen friends go from <2,000 on a first try to >2,100 after doing prep work.

As long as there are football players and male dancers on this green earth there is no way to know. In reality there is no “minimum” SAT score required. Someone ends up with the lowest number but just by chance. Look at the Common Data Set Section C7 to see what Cornell uses in its admission considerations.

However, 5% of the Class of 2016 submitting ACT scores had a composite score of 23 or less. 4% of those submitting their SAT I results scored less than 500 on the Critical Reading section, while 2% scored less than 500 on the Math section.

From a practical point of view I don’t think you want to be thinking about applying to Cornell with a 940 SAT score unless you are ready to endow a college.

However, it depends on the school within Cornell you are applying to.

For example, the college of architecture, art, and planning in most cases would be less concerned about your SAT score than the school of engineering.
