Contacted LMU and the $2K for EA is renewable every year for 4 years

I’ve seen some say LMU is a commuter school which is not the impression we had when visiting. My kid loves it (assuming not a commuter school and strong involved community). The question is predominance (eg also not interested in Greek life- fine if it exists but doesn’t want to go to a school where it dominates social life). So re: commuters, that’s fine if there are some but does in negatively impact the ability to make friends and find connections through activities?

My son is not in a fraternity, but has not ruled out rushing next year. From the most recent common data set (23-24):
Percent of men who join fraternities: 11% (first time, first year)
Percent of men who join fraternities: 15% (undergraduates)
Percent of women who join sororities: 25% (first time, first year)
Percent of women who join sororities: 24% (undergraduates)
The majority of his friends are people he’s met in his freshman dorm. There are definitely many ways to be involved and activities available, but it involves putting yourself out there to meet people. He’s really happy he chose to attend LMU!

EA award renews every year, unless things have changed. My daughter had it all 4 years.

Is that true that most merit aid goes to Catholic high schools?
Did you learn whether they give dance scholarships?
