Not surprised. You will get into Tulane and your decision may come down to the lower cost of LSU versus higher cost of the more prestigious Tulane - good problem to have.

My S24 just received his acceptance! 
He has a 3.3 unweighted GPA (3.6 weighted) and a 28 ACT composite super score. We are OOS. He applied EA in mid October.

Congrats to all getting their notifications! Do you have a myLSU id before being accepted or will a notification come on the admission portal (the one you use with your email?) or do you just wait for your application portal to update? Applied on 10/15 and still no word…

My S24 did not have a myLSU id before the acceptance notice. The instructions say we have to submit the enrollment deposit before creating the myLSU account.

He received an email that the decision was in with a link to the portal.
We are OOS also. Do you know if there are better scholarships to apply for when OOS? Those OOS fees are so high! We really want her to go to LSU though.
My son was accepted OOS in early November. I was wondering when merit information might come out. Has anyone heard or have prior knowledge?
I haven’t and it’s been a month since my acceptance. I will probably email them about it tomorrow.
Absolutely awesome kid with a 3.45 GPA (which will go up bc he has a 4.0 for this semester already). Athlete (but will not be playing college ball). No AP or advanced classes. OOS. Military kid, but deep family roots at LSU and was born in LA. Using the test optional option bc he’s a horrible standardized test taker. He applied in October but school counselor took 18 days to send over transcript. So now he is worried bc it’s been over a month with no updates - just green check marks.
Just curious for those with kids who have an average GPA how long it took to get the decision.
My D is OOS. Applied in August. Heard nothing. Test optional. Okay GPA.
My S24 was accepted less than a week ago with a 3.3. Applied mid October. We decided to use his ACT even though it was below 30.
I think your kid will get in but looking at past years, LSU can vary widely on when they return a decision. Some hear in December and some With similar application dates do not hear until March.
My dsughter is currently a senior as LSU. We are OOS. I have not looked at these posts in sometime and popped in quickly.
They are all making me so sad. Why sad….?? The past 4 years have been the best of her life!! She has LOVED her LSU experience - to list why would take to long.
If you get accepted go!!! Just fabulous!!! I’m excited to hear about all the new students and just knowing how great their next 4 years will be!!!

Lacole03. Thanks for sharing your excitement about LSU. OOS fees are so high though! We may still send her there but we will come out with much higher loans! Can you share more about how it was worth it?
Well, definitely cost us quite abit more than an instate school, you are correct.
Our D just has had the time of her life. The big campus, athletics, social aspects, she has loved her classes and feels well prepared.
She has made life long friends, gained independence and maturity having to live so far away and manage herself.
The $$ was worth it!

My son is also from Massachusetts and has been accepted for Fall 2024. He wants Business but the admission counselor said they release major decisions in the spring. Is that what your son experienced? I don’t know how he can make a decision if he doesn’t know if he got in for business. He definitely would want to live in the business residential dorm too. I am so happy to hear that your son is having a great experience there. Thank you.

S24 received decision early this morning (admitted - OOS). He applied on November 20.
