Did you watch it?
I am going to be groggy all day long because of it ![]()
Was very well visible, abeit for some occasional low clouds. Did not see any red though, just different shades of orange.

I saw it! I only got up 5 minutes earlier than I usually do, cause I am always up at 5:55 to help my son get the bus for HS. It was kind of orange…very cool looking at 6 a.m., but by 6:15 (totality) there wasn’t much to see, because of the lightening sky and the morning haze.

I slept on the sofa and woke up about 1:30 a.m., S and I watched the eclipse progress. We stayed up until the moon completely disappeared except for the ring of light around it. It must have been after 2 a.m. Here, it was reddish. And quite worth the wait. As we watched my son and I remembered times we drove out of Oakland so we could catch a glimpse of a comet passing through our skies & our trips to the old Chabot Observatory in Oakland, climbing the steps of the big telescopes so we could see the rings of Saturn. We’ve always been sky watchers. Ah, I’m so lucky he’s home through the end of Sept!

I got up at 2:30 and watched the last little bit with my daughter. It was brown ish here (view from my backyard). Went back to bed about 3:00 am. Saw the neighbor come out and observe for a few minutes. The cat seemed kind of excited to have company at that time of night . . .
