Lunch spot San Francisco

Looking for a breakfast spot in Sausalito or breakfast or lunch spot in San Francisco. I’m traveling from Sausalito down the 101 to the central coast. Route will be over the Golden Gate Bridge, down 19th Avenue, 280 to the 85 and back onto the 101. We don’t want to go into the heart of the city due to we want something delicious it not far off our driving route. @shawbridge any suggestions?

Breakfast. Fred’s Place is an absolute fixture. I love the omelette with avocado and bacon. Easily enough for two people. Le Garage Bistro. Fancier but a good brunch place.

Lunch possibilities. in Sausalito One of the best sushi restaurants in the Bay Area is a place called Sushi Ran seems to have limited outdoor seating. Exceptionally good. https://sushiran.com/. The owner is a great guy. Fish, which is fun, doesn’t appear to be open except for delivery. Poggio is open. https://www.poggiotrattoria.com/. Copita, which is a casual Mexican restaurant and is open. https://www.copitarestaurant.com/.

Have to think about what is en route in SF.

I think you might look in the Sunset District or Richmond District for SF restaurants. Some have outdoor seating. Mostly haven’t eaten in that area. I think I have eaten at a Korean restaurant in the area, but can’t remember the name. Here is a list of Korean restaurants near 19th Ave. A number have seating. https://www.google.com/search?tbm=lcl&sxsrf=ALeKk01tW39X0qHscUjA1CE0YvADZxXNYA%3A1603247078302&ei=5puPX5r5Ee2I_QbTrZOAAw&q=korean+restaurants+in+san+francisco&oq=korean+restaurants+san+francisco&gs_l=psy-ab.1.0.0i7i30k1l2j0i30k1j0i7i5i30k1l3j0i8i30k1l2.132930.136128.0.137888.18.18.0.0.0.0.113.1585.14j4.18.0…0…1c.1.64.psy-ab…1.17.1499…0.6Ug0v9GVZJY#rlfi=hd:;si:;mv:[[37.790495124305835,-122.43447643791502],[37.75874467380966,-122.49730450187987],null,[37.774621603460474,-122.46589046989745],14]

Yank Sing for Dim Sum, especially the Peking Duck buns. Might not be on your route but that’s where I’d head.

Is Tiburon a little too far north of Sausalito for you?

The Spinnaker is a nice place too.

Cavallo Point (just north of the GG Bridge) is nice with great views and outdoor dining: https://www.cavallopoint.com/reopening-outdoor-dining-cavallo-point

@Twoin18 we are staying at Cavallo.
Headed home so don’t want to backtrack. Which is also why we don’t want to wander to far off our route.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I’m busy researching.

The Rosewood in Menlo Park (right off 280 at Sand Hill Road) is nice for lunch

Buck’s in Woodside, right off 280 is a popular spot. So is Alice’s up the 84 hill.

@mom60, where did you end up going?

@shawbridge we ended up meeting our cousin and her young children in a part of Golden Gate park. They brought food from a few places they like. One was a huge breakfast sandwich on a biscuit and some bahn mi sandwiches.
The trip already seems like it was a lifetime ago.
