<p>I’ve done much more lurking than posting and did not even find this place until I was doing a web search for William and Mary after my son got accepted. I just wanted to learn a little about the place he was going. I’m glad I didn’t find this forum until after he was accepted. I had no idea what a circus college admission was these days.</p>
<p>Actually, icft, these forums have a role to play for the non-dysfunctional. These forums expose to the light of day the extremism of the Academic Performace Cult.</p>

<p>when i used to be a lurker (for 1 month lol), I thought (no offence) that CC people had no lives, just by looking at their post count…2000,3000… But they did seem nice and helpful but a little…too expressive about their feelings on a subject (which can be a good thing i guess).
But now, I realise, having 2000 posts is…normal?</p>

<p>I guess I qualify for this; I made my first post a few weeks ago after lurking on and off for several months. I’m from Missouri by the way.</p>

<p>:-/ I don’t think CC is biased against the midwest, at least not any more than the general demographic of the United States is. Kansas is even more red than Missouri (we recently voted in favor of a constitutional amendment against gay marriage -_-).</p>
<p>I stand corrected. The bias is against Missouri, not Kansas. </p>
