lying about acceptance decision

I just find these people incredibly pathetic and bored with their life to invent such stories.

haha i know what u mean!

how do you get them to admit that they’re lying?
This one guy at my school is like…ya dude, i’m going to UCLA over Stanford. I said, Wow that’s like saying you would choose a corolla over a BMW

Actually, I do know someone who chose UCLA over Stanford.

staticsoliloquy…a lot of people do dat in my school because UCLA is only about 2 minutes from their homes. In our school for some reason, people tend to live near home for financial reasons.

if u get good package, y live at home? more freedom to party~1

So what if they lie? Let them. It’s their problem that they have to deal with and something they have to face in life if they can’t admit failure and try to correct the problem. Seriously, why waste your time trying to admit that they are lying when you can better spend your time?

for some people it’s hard to admit that they’ve been rejected… especially when most of your friends have gotten accepted to some really good colleges… not that i’m defending lying, just trying to understand from their point of view…
