I will be graduating with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. Part of the application for the M.A. in Math Education requires transcripts from all colleges attended. During one of my summers I took some courses at a different college as a non-matriculating student to fulfill my gen ed requirements. I passed my speech class with a B+ but failed my macro economics class with an F. On my current undergraduate school transcript, I received the credit for the speech class but not for the macro economics. My overall GPA so far for my M E degree is a 3.79 (but most likely will drop by 0.2 or so due to difficulty of major courses). But I do have all A’s in my math courses (dating back to college math courses taken during Junior year of high school) if that even helps. My question is will that F in the CC stop them from accepting me?

Probably not, but it depends on the program. If you’re applying to a state school chances are you’ll be fine, same with many small private schools and liberal arts colleges.

I want to apply to CCNY which is a CUNY.

Then yes, I think you should be fine.
