can anyone tell me for the past years how many met applicants there were and how many got interviews? like whats the “interview acceptance rate” if you will

I remember hearing 100-200 people got interviews and 50 got in, for a previous year but not sure about the accuracy. Congrats @acceptanceflood
I believe around 180-200 applicants receive interviews out of approximately 3,000, so about 6%. Then, usually around 40 are accepted into the program.

So does that mean those who got interview invitations are already super competitive? does it mean even if I don’t get into MET I’m likely to get into regular Berkeley?

@acceptanceflood I’ve heard that if you receive an interview, you’re (pretty much) guaranteed acceptance into engineering, since the first round is to pass engineering and now the second interview round is to pass business.
Is there an official end date for interviews? End of January maybe?

My email says the last day for interviews is Jan. 27, and the last day for signup is Jan. 17. This could imply that if you don’t receive an invitation by the 17th then that’s probably it, but i could also be wrong. I’ve also heard some previously got the invitation towards the end of Jan. but im not sure

I wonder if they’re actually by batches. I haven’t heard of anyone with my major yet.

hi everyone :)) i just got my interview request today too ( 01/14) & I’m applying for the MSE & Business strand. tbh, i was actually kinda hoping i wouldnt get an interview, since im still not sure if i want to try to get into the program??? but this is just such a cool opportunity that I’d be a fool not to take, so ofc ill be doing the interview. good luck to everyone!!! y’all got this eheh
Honestly I’m not sure if i want MET either, but hey congrats that you’ve already gotten into regular Berkeley, if getting an interview really does mean you’re admitted to regular.
just don’t stress too much over the interview. people say it’s just a casual conversation
@catlip4 @autumnspast I have a friend who is MET '23 who confirmed it, and by logic, if only 180 people receive an interview request and many who don’t receive a request can still get into CoE, it should make sense that those top 180 applicants would have gotten into CoE.
